EARLY LABORATORY DIAGNOSIS AND PROGNOSIS OF DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY

Annotation. Currently, diabetes mellitus and its macro- and microvascular
complications, in particular diabetic nephropathy (DN), are considered chronic non-
infectious diseases, which, due to the rate of increase in prevalence, have acquired the
character of a non-infectious epidemic [3, 11 Glomerulosclerosis, which develops in
diabetic nephropathy (DN), causes impairment of the filtration function of the kidneys,
the terminal stage of which is chronic renal failure [1, 5]. In this regard, early diagnosis
of DN at the preclinical stage is a task, the importance of which is due to its decisive
role in the prevention, effectiveness of treatment and prognosis of the course of DM.
