Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the grammatical differences between British and American English, focusing on variations in verb usage, prepositions, collective nouns, and auxiliary verbs. These distinctions, rooted in historical, social, and cultural factors, offer insights into the dynamic evolution of English across regions. By providing examples and citing renowned linguists such as David Crystal and Lynne Murphy, this study highlights the importance of understanding these differences for effective cross-cultural communication.
