Diphtheria and pertussis remain significant public health concerns globally, particularly in regions with suboptimal vaccination coverage. This article provides a detailed overview of the diseases' characteristics, etiology, and epidemiology, emphasizing the importance of prevention and epidemic control measures. The study highlights contemporary challenges, such as vaccine hesitancy and emerging strains, and offers strategies to improve prophylactic measures and epidemic response.
