This article examines the concept of "consensus" as an object of cognitive linguistics. From the perspective of the interconnection between language and thought, the linguistic and cognitive aspects of the agreement category are analyzed. "Consensus" is viewed not only as a part of linguistics or the communicative process but also as a reflection of meaning constructions formed in the human mind and realized in social and cultural contexts. The article explores the linguistic tools, the role of consensus in discourse, and its semantic-cognitive structure based on modern cognitive theories. Special attention is paid to themechanisms of agreement formation through the interaction of linguistic units and cognitive models. The research results provide new perspectives at the intersection
