Abstrak

Abstract:  Collocation refers to the habitual juxtaposition of words and phrases in a language that often occurs together, forming natural-sounding expressions. This linguistic phenomenon plays a crucial role in language acquisition, fluency, and comprehension, as it reflects the preferences of native speakers and influences the way meaning is constructed in communication.

Collocations can be categorized into various types, including verb-noun combinations (e.g., "make a decision"), adjective-noun pairs (e.g., "strong coffee"), and adverb-verb constructions (e.g., "deeply regret"). Understanding collocations enhances vocabulary development and improves both spoken and written language proficiency
