Abstract

Proverbs represent a significant part of linguistic and cultural heritage, embodying collective wisdom and life principles in concise and memorable forms. As expressions of eternal advice, they rely on stylistic and lexical features that make them effective, memorable, and understandable. This article examines the lexico-stylistic features of English proverbs, focusing on their structure, lexical composition, and stylistic devices. The purpose of the article is to identify how proverbs use various linguistic elements to effectively convey their messages and preserve their relevance for different generations.
