The role and importance of punctuation in linguistics is important for any language. They determine the structure, content and form of expression of the text. The use of punctuation in Uzbek and English contains similarities and differences. This article presents the use of punctuation marks in the Uzbek and English languages, their specific features and a comparative analysis.
