KEY COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR TEACHING NURSING IN NURSING EDUCATION
Abstract
Teaching nursing is a critical component of nursing education that requires educators to possess a combination of specialized knowledge, pedagogical skills, and clinical experience. This paper explores the essential competencies and knowledge needed by nursing educators to effectively teach nursing students. These competencies include a deep understanding of nursing theory, clinical practice, teaching strategies, and the ability to adapt to diverse student learning needs. Additionally, the role of continuous professional development and the integration of modern teaching technologies are examined. By identifying the essential knowledge and skills for nursing instructors, this paper aims to improve nursing education outcomes.
