Abstract

This article explores the effectiveness of phonetics instruction in improving English pronunciation for learners. It investigates how phonetic training can assist non-native English speakers in mastering the sounds of English, addressing common pronunciation challenges, and reducing accents. By examining various studies, teaching methods, and learner outcomes, this paper highlights the importance of phonetics in language education and its contribution to clearer and more accurate pronunciation. The findings suggest that systematic phonetics instruction positively influences learners' ability to perceive, produce, and reproduce English sounds more accurately.
