NOUNS AND THEIR GRAMMATICAL CATEGORIES

Nouns represent word entities that are the building blocks of English grammar; they are indispensable tools in naming a person, a place, an object, and even an idea. The different grammatical categories that number, gender, case, countability, and definiteness all together govern the behavior and meaning of nouns in sentences. This article undertakes a detailed analysis of such categories in their relation to how nouns function within linguistic structures and their r significance in communication. By focusing on the morphological and syntactic functions of nouns, this research shows their significance for leaners, teachers, and linguists.
