Abstract

This article examines the role and significance of invented words (neologisms) in applied linguistics. It explores the diverse purposes for which invented words are created, their contribution to enhancing communication, improving language teaching methodologies, advancing computational linguistics, and analyzing sociolinguistic trends. The paper also discusses methods of forming neologisms, challenges in their analysis, and future research directions, highlighting their importance in the dynamic interplay between language, technology, and society.
