Cognitive frames—mental structures shaped by cultural, personal, and social experiences—guide how readers understand characters, themes, and symbols. The interplay between narrative structure and cognitive frames highlights the active role of the reader in meaning-making. This interdisciplinary perspective provides valuable insights into the cognitive processes behind literary interpretation.
