##article.abstract##

This article examines the critical role of language in preserving and transmitting religious texts across generations, focusing on the intricate relationship between linguistic preservation, translation, and cultural continuity. It explores how ancient languages, such as Hebrew, Greek, and Sanskrit, have played pivotal roles in safeguarding sacred knowledge within religious traditions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism. The author highlights the challenges of maintaining the integrity and meaning of religious texts when translated into modern languages, where subtle nuances and cultural contexts might be lost or altered. The article delves into the historical and theological implications of language choice, emphasizing how early scribes and scholars meticulously preserved religious texts in their original languages to ensure doctrinal accuracy and spiritual significance. It also examines the role of linguistic scholars, translators, and religious leaders in the process of adaptation, noting both the benefits and limitations of translating sacred texts for broader accessibility. Furthermore, the article touches on the cultural and ideological power that language holds in the preservation of religious traditions. The preservation of religious language, whether through oral traditions, written manuscripts, or digital formats, is presented as essential for maintaining the continuity of spiritual practices and identity. The author also explores how the study of language in religious texts contributes to the ongoing dialogue between faith, culture, and society, and how religious texts, through their language, continue to shape moral, ethical, and philosophical thought in the modern world.
