IMPROVING EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF PEPTIC ULCER DISEASE
Abstrak
Changes detected in the stomach and duodenum in gastropathy induced by NSAID intake are nonspecific and can vary from hyperemia (erythema) to erosions and ulcers with the formation of an ulcerative crater and the development of micro and macrobleeds and submucosal hemorrhages. In this case, gastric ulcers are detected in 12-30% of cases, and duodenal ulcers only in 2-19%. Histological examination of biopsy specimens of the gastric mucosa (gastric mucosa) in almost 100% of cases is determined by NSAID-gastritis (type C) . X-ray examination of the stomach and duodenum is much less informative than EGD.
