Abstract

This article explores the principles of copyright and neighboring rights within Islamic law and analyzes their application in the contemporary legal framework of Uzbekistan. Drawing upon the Quran, Hadith, and classical Islamic jurisprudence, the study highlights the alignment and divergence between Islamic principles and international copyright standards, such as the Berne Convention and TRIPS Agreement. Additionally, the article examines the practical challenges of integrating Islamic legal concepts into Uzbekistan’s modern legislative system. Recommendations are proposed to enhance the protection of intellectual property by harmonizing Islamic jurisprudence with national and international legal norms.
