The  Bible  has  been  a  cornerstone  of  Western  culture,  significantly  shaping
English literature for centuries. Its profound moral, spiritual, and cultural themes have
inspired countless writers, contributing to the development of diverse genres, character
archetypes, and narrative styles. This article delves into the extensive influence of the
Bible on English literature, highlighting its role in shaping major literary works and its
enduring impact on language and imagination. By examining specific examples from
renowned English authors, this study illustrates how the Bible has served as a rich
source of inspiration, moral inquiry, and artistic expression.
