Abstrak

This article highlights the crucial role of discourse markers and connectors in understanding spoken language. It explores how these linguistic elements contribute to coherence, cohesion, and overall comprehension, emphasizing the importance of developing listening skills specifically focused on their identification and interpretation. The article examines various types of discourse markers and connectors, illustrating their functions in different contexts, and suggests pedagogical approaches to enhance learners' ability to recognize and effectively utilize these important cues in listening comprehension.
